2019 2oz Queen’s Beasts Yale of Beaufort is the seventh release in the Queen’s Beast series from The Royal Mint. The Queen’s Beast Series is one of the most successful series from the reputed Royal Mint and the coins are sure to sell out quickly in line with other coins from the same series.

The Queens Beast Silver coin are two ounces in weight, Pure 999 Silver, and the thickness of the coin at 6mm makes it a solid coin to hold in your hands and with its legal tender status, they are CGT (Capital Gains Tax) free.

The Queen’s Beasts are the ten statues that stood guard for the Queen’s Coronation as chiseled by James Woodford RA in 1953. The Queen’s Beasts are still standing, currently housed at the Canadian Museum of History in Quebec, Canada, and the stone replicas can be found in Kew Gardens.

When Her Majesty The Queen was crowned in 1953, the entrance to Westminster Abbey was guarded by ten fantastical creatures and the coins were minted to celebrate and symbolise the centuries-long tradition. The Queen’s Beasts coin collection started in the year 2016, the year Her Majesty the Queen became the world’s longest-reigning living monarch.

The 2019 Yale of Beaufort 2 oz Silver coin is the seventh release in the 10-coin series which will end in 2021. From the year 2017 to 2020, two coins per year will be issued by the Royal Mint.
